Dr. Habib Abdullah is a US trained and licensed Paediatric Clinical Psychologist at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital. He completed his undergraduate at the State University of New York and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at California School of Professional Psychology.
Dr. Habib completed his clinical training at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in their Oncology department and ran various groups as well as provided individual and family based interventions. He completed his internship in paediatric psychology in Northwestern Physician Group in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to joining AJCH, Dr. Habib completed a fellowship in paediatric psychology at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, working in various medical clinics including sleep, cardiology, obesity, diabetes, audiology, burn, pain management, headache, cystic fibrosis, high risk new born, gastrointestinal, bariatric surgery evaluations and inpatient consultation & liaison (CL) services. He also has worked in community mental health clinics as well as school counseling. Additionally, Dr. Habib has done research in paediatric pain and stigma against mental health.
Dr. Habib has a special interest in working with pain management, sleep disorders, inpatient CL services as well as working with comorbid medical and mental health diagnoses. Dr. Habib is also the board member of the International Committee for Pediatric Psychologists.
