Dr. Asha graduated in Medicine from Kerala University and then pursued her career in Paediatrics with an MD and DCH from Mahatma Gandhi University. In the United Kingdom, she trained in paediatrics with a sub-speciality interest in Paediatric Cardiology. She became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1994 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2004.
Dr. Asha worked at the Child’s Trust Hospital and as Assistant Professor at the Sri Ramachandra Medical College University, Chennai, India. She has been a Consultant Paediatrician in the UK since 2003. Having worked in both India and the United Kingdom, Dr. Asha has had extensive experience in the management of all general paediatric illnesses, both acute and chronic. She is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK) and has a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education from Newcastle University. Dr. Asha is an examiner for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. She has been a teacher, mentor, and educational supervisor to paediatric trainees throughout her career.
