Dr. Christos Tzivinikos is a Consultant Paediatric Gastoenterologist. He completed his entire general and subspeciality paediatric training in the UK in renowned tertiary hospitals in London (King’s College, St. Georges’, Royal London). He completed a MSc with merit in Paediatric Gastroenterology at Queen Mary University London and Institute of Child Health at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He is an elected Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in the UK. Prior to joining Al Jalila Children’s, Dr. Christos was the Chief of Paediatric Gastroenterology Division at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, one of the largest paediatric hospitals in Europe.He cares for paediatric and adolescent patients for all aspects of paediatric gastroenterology diseases and has a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel (IBD) and eosinophilic GI diseases (EGID) and also performs a wide range of endoscopic procedures including placement endoscopic percutaneous gastrostomies from infants to adolescents. Dr. Christos has vast experience in running comprehensive multi-disciplinary feeding clinics for children with neurodisability and congenital heart disease and other chronic diseases.

Savitha Bijesh is a dietitian at Al Jalila Children’s and has over eight years of experience providing nutrition assessment for patients and families. She develops nutrition intervention plans for patients and makes recommendations for treatment which includes diet therapy education and intervention for high risk cases. Savitha provides bedside and outpatient education, and also counsels patients and families on nutrition issues, either individually or in group.

Dr. Anees Siddiqui is Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist at Al Jalila Children’s with a specialisation in neurogastroenterology and motility.He began his medical education at the University of Texas – Southwestern and completed his paediatrics residency at Children’s Medical Center – Dallas. He then went on to pursue fellowship training in pediatric gastroenterology at Children’s Hospital – Boston / Harvard Medical School, followed by an advanced training in neurogastroenterology and motility under the tutelage of Dr. Sam Nurko.Dr. Anees then joined Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin Texas, to start a neurogastroenterology programme. While there, he cofounded an aerodigestive programme, a dysfunctional elimination programme, and a collaborative abdominal pain programme. Dr. Anees aspires to provide children with the gold standard of gastrointestinal care and believes that collaboration should be the foundation of paediatric healthcare.
