Dubai, 3 rd June 2020: Al Jalila Children's Speciality Hospital, the only hospital specialized in
paediatric medicine in the United Arab Emirates, announced that all Emirati children without
insurance coverage will be treated for free during Covid-19, while insured children will enjoy
the waiver of co-payment charges.
Dr. Abdulla Al Khayat, CEO of Al Jalila Children said: “This step comes as a result of Al Jalila
Children’s efforts in coordinating this initiative with Dubai’s Covid-19 Command and Control
Centre and our partners from the insurance sector and related health entities, with the
objective of extending our collective support to Emirati families during the challenging times of
the Covid-19 pandemic.”
“Our teams at Al Jalila Children’s will be available to guide Emirati families through the steps of
this process, and we have made sure that having access to our premium healthcare for children
is smooth and easy,” Dr. Khayat said
Dr. Khayat also stressed on the fact that Al Jalila Children’s is a Covid-19 free Hospital. “This will
allow children with chronic illnesses or emergency cases to be treated here in a safe and secure
environment.”

hospital, especially the waiting areas, and also ensuring that all visitors wear masks and their
temperatures checked at the entrance. In addition, our Telehealth Services continue to be quite

safety and security for our inpatients and their families,” Dr. Khayat concluded.
