About the Programme

The Al Jalila Children's Paediatric Otolaryngology Programme is a two-year training programme, accredited by the Saudi Board for Health Specialties and runs in academic partnership with the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences.

This provides a unique opportunity for surgeons to be trained in an academic medical training programme that has adopted the Saudi Board paediatric Otolaryngology curriculum.

  • Programme runs in the first and only dedicated children's hospital in U.A.E.
  • The only Saudi Board accredited paediatric Otolaryngology fellowship programme in the UAE.
  • Highly qualified consultants.
  • Affiliated with the MBRU.
  • Regular educational activities including faculty development workshops.
  • Structured competency-based residency programme.

The aim of the pediatric otolaryngology fellowship program is to graduate a well-qualified pediatric otolaryngologist, who will be able to look after children with complex ENT disorders. The Fellow will gain the required expertise in this field by spending enough time in Al Jalila’s well equipped clinics and operation theatres, as well as being trained by a team of world-renowned consultants.

Fellows will become sufficiently familiar with Operative procedures such as Otologic surgery, Rhinologic surgery, Oral and pharyngeal surgery to name a few. Fellows will also be given the opportunity to function with other members of the health care team in both inpatient and ambulatory settings to become proficient as leaders in the organization and bring systematic improvement of the processes of patient care.

A unique advantage for AJCH Otolaryngology Fellows is that they will have the opportunity to be part of the Coclear Implant Programme and the Aerodigestive Programme.
