Education is one of the main pillars of Al Jalila Children’s and it has a pivotal role in the hospital’s core strategy to elevate the standards of paediatric healthcare across the region. Al Jalila Children’s is a strong advocate of sharing knowledge within industry peers so everyone can reap the benefits of advancement in science and medical breakthroughs. It is within this context that the hospital launched two distinguished educational programmes and added a one-of-a-kind knowledge sharing initiative. The Al Jalila Children’s Paediatric Residency Programme was launched in May 2018 in partnership with Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), and is the only Saudi Board accredited paediatric residency programme in the UAE.
In November 2018, Al Jalila Children’s also launched its very own child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship programme – a two-year training programme for mental health professionals, run in academic partnership with Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU). The Al Jalila Children’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Programme is the only Saudi Board accredited mental health fellowship programme in the UAE and has the unique advantage of being supervised by a well-known team of internationally-trained mental healthcare professionals from around the world.
When it comes to knowledge sharing, PaedsX represents a thought leadership platform for doctors, physicians, and nurses to share the latest discoveries and experiences through a series of symposiums, grand rounds, and gatherings.
